On 22 May, REHVA Policy and Advocacy Officer Francesco Robimarga attended several sessions at the Eurovent Annual Meeting in Brussels.

In this regard, the "Policy Hour" session deserves special mention. The two presentations delivered by Commission officials on the EPBD and the ESPR captured the audience's attention and sparked two fruitful Q&A sessions with the attendees. Regarding the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive, Commission staff provided an overview of the legislation's scope and objectives and outlined the next steps for implementation now that the directive has finally entered into force.

Concerning the Ecodesign for Sustainable Products Regulation (ESPR), the speaker explained the current state of play, the differences from the previous version, and the changes that will be introduced once the regulation is finally approved and signed.

The session concluded with a dynamic panel discussion on the competitiveness of European manufacturing, following the Letta and Draghi reports (on the reform of the Internal Market and competitiveness in the EU) recently presented to the European Commission President.

Finally, it was lovely to relax while discussing upcoming developments in the sector during a well-organised networking dinner, with a beautiful rooftop setting as the backdrop.

REHVA will continue its efforts to foster policy developments in the HVAC sector, maintaining close relations with its supporters.
