Webinar on Smart and Technology Equipped Buildings – new features from the amended EPBD

BUILD UP, The European portal for energy efficiency in buildings will be hosting their third webinar on Smart and Technology Equipped Buildings – new features from the amended EPB which will take place on February 13th, 2019 from 12:00-13:15pm CET. The full programme will be moderated by Hélène Sibileau, Senior EU Affairs Manager of EuroACE. REHVA will also be contributing the programme with Anita Derjanecz, Managing Director. More

Join the 51st AiCARR International Conference “The human dimension of building energy performance” 

Embedding behavioral insights into buildings life cycle has been finally recognized as a key topic, and research efforts are needed for fully integrating the human dimension in building energy performance. The 51st AiCARR International Conference, under the patronage of REHVA and ASHRAE, brings together researchers and professionals to share the latest research findings on the subject.

REHVA workshop 

On 21 February afternoon, the Conference is hosting the REHVA Workshop "Closing the quality gap: from design to real building", chaired by Francesca R. d'Ambrosio, AiCARR President, and Stefano P. Corgnati, REHVA President. The session tackles the issue of the performance gap between buildings design and operational phase, focusing on quality and added value approaches over the entire Building Life Cycle. Starting from the Green Building Council experience on quality and sustainability, the workshop then showcase the experiences of relevant EU H2020 projects, including QUANTUM.  


REHVA at Futurebuild: join us in London

REHVA is attending Futurebuild (ExCel, London, 5-7 March 2019). You will find REHVA at the Knowledge Forum, a dedicated central forum that will bring together academia, universities, key professional bodies, partners and associations, across all built environment industries, with a common purpose of sharing knowledge. The Knowledge Forum is also the perfect venue to showcase the results of REHVA’s European R&I projects: the workshop "The QUANTUM-Project: New Standards, Tools and Services for Quality Management of Building Performance", organised by QUANTUM Project consortium, will be held there on Tuesday 5 March from 15:00 till 16:10.We are looking forward to meeting you at our booth, stand D133 at the Knowledge Forum, from 5 to 7 March.


CLIMA 2019: deadline for full-paper submission  extended and registration is open!

The 13th CLIMA World Congress, the leading international scientific congress in the field of Heating, Ventilating and Air-Conditioning (HVAC), will be held from 26 till 29 May 2019 in Bucharest, Romania. The 2019 edition will focus on the topic "Built environment facing climate change". Preparations for CLIMA 2019 are in full swing. The deadline for the full-paper submission session was extended until 1 March. Click here for more information about the abstract submissions.

The organisers offer the possibility to promote research and know-how by organising a Workshop. The duration of each Workshop is 1,5-2 hours, and it may approach themes that are specific for the companies, institutions, associations or research groups that are holding it. REHVA congratulates Jarek Kurnitski for his election as a Member of the Estonian Academy of Sciences!

REHVA would like to congratulate our Technology and Research Committee chair, Jarek Kurnitski, Professor of Energy Efficiency and Indoor Climate of Buildings and Director of the TalTech Department of Civil Engineering and Architecture. 20 researchers applied for the seven positions of academicians, and REHVA is very proud to have Jarek Kurnitski, as one of their elected members. Call for comments on the proposal for the combination of energy labels: local space heaters and heat pumps

The proposal to combine energy labels for local space heaters and heat pump has been done due to the reviewed study of the Energy label on air conditioners (Regulation (EU) 2015/11868 and Regulation (EU) 626/2011) into one common regulation aiming the comparison of the products that provide the same purpose. More


European Commission issued standardization request for a new European standardization deliverable in refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump equipment

To support and provide the reduction of the use of hydrofluorocarbons (HFCs) in refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump equipment, the European Commission had issued the standardization request to have a European standardization deliverable on the use of flammable refrigerants. More


Second technical support study on Smart Readiness Indicator for Buildings (SRI)

The first technical support on the establishment of the SRI within the EPBD concluded in August 2018 and aimed to develop a scope and characteristics of such an indicator. The second study on the implementation of the SRI started in January 2019 with the aim to provide the further technical inputs for the establishment of the SRI scheme. More

CEN-CE newsletter is out

The first CEN-CE newsletter is out to shed light on the project purpose and plans. After the successful workshop at the REHVA Brussels Summit, next occasion to know more about the project is the joint ALDREN/CEN-CE/EPB Center workshop in Wels (AT) "EU projects supporting EPBD implementation", organised at WSED 2019 as one of the Innovation Workshops Energy and Buildings. 


ALDREN connects 

ALDREN project is joining forces with relevant EU initiatives to explore synergies and exploitation pathways. IN this view, on 28 February, the joint ALDREN/CEN-CE/EPB Center workshop "EU projects supporting EPBD implementation" is organised at WSED 2019 Innovation Workshops Energy and Buildings (Wels, AT); and on 27 March, a joint hybridGEOTABS-ALDREN event is scheduled at DTU premises, in Copenhagen. 


       

TripleA-reno & Mobistyle at CLIMA 2019

TripleA-reno and Mobistyle are organising a joint workshop at CLIMA 2019, titled “"Why people matter? Exploitation strategies for people-centred design". The event will be the kick-off of the TripleA-reno Road show.
